Responsibilities:
Assist Project Managers with technical design through CAD
Utilize Civil 3D to produce simple to complex, accurate drawings, and illustrations in accordance with company standards from data, sketches, and verbal or written communication
Develop preliminary site layouts, grading plans, utility plans, entrance plans, cross-sections, profiles, and other details
Assist with drawing reproduction, and plan set assembly, distribution, and filing
Work independently to prepare accurate, complete, and well-composed maps
Meet deadlines and complete work within established project budgets
Communicate effectively with team members
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
Relative associate degree is preferred
3-6 years of experience performing design-related work in a civil engineering environment
Experience with Civil 3D required
Knowledge of civil plans and relationships among sheet types within a plan set
Able to work from rough sketches or verbal discussions to assist engineers in the development of simple drawings with minimal guidance and complex drawings with some guidance
Candidate should be a critical thinker, be willing to learn through trial and error, be self-motivated, and be willing to put the full effort towards the task at hand
Candidate should have a strong desire to grow and advance as a technical designer.
