Hoffman Estates Park District Summer Day Camp Site Coordinator in Hoffman Estates, Illinois

Summary:

The Hoffman Estates Park District is now hiring summer day camp Site Coordinators. Site Coordinators will plan daily activities, communicate with parents and supervisors and make sure everything is running smoothly.

The Hoffman Estates Park District provides a variety of camps for young children. The camps include Sports Camp, STEAM Camp, Teen Camp, Art Camp, and Explorers Camp (which includes all activities). Extended camp programs include Early Arrival Camp & Late Stay Camp.

Days/Hours of Work:

Summer Camp runs June 3 – August 2, 2024. Applicants must be able to work Monday-Friday for the entire 9 weeks with the option to extend to 11 weeks.

Regular Camp hours: 9:00am-3:30pm.

Early Arrival Camp: 6:45am-9:00am.

Late Stay Camp: 3:30pm-6:00pm.

Requirements/Experience

  • Must be 19 years of age or older.

  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years working with children

  • Experience in working with children ages K-6th grade

  • Must be able to get into a pool

  • Good skills in planning activities for children

  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with children, parents, and team members

  • Ability to solve problems that may arise

  • Must be dependable, reliable in attendance and punctuality

  • Must be energetic and have a positive attitude

  • Ability to enforce Park District rules and safety practices

  • Certification in CPR/AED and First Aid is required

  • Must have a valid State of Illinois Drivers License

Education

  1. High School Diploma.

  2. One-year college coursework preferred.
