What you’ll do:

  • People management of shift production team:

  • You are the end responsible for the operational manufacturing shift activities.

  • You have ownership of department people development, review and goal setting - Follow-up on the job classification: evaluate and develop operator in collaboration with the internal trainer/cell leader;

  • You have ownership of daily shift prioritization and work balancing

  • You have engagement ownership of your team supported by the use of HR tools available

  • You are a promotor of DBS tools and ongoing drive for improvement of day to day team performance

  • End result ownership of shift production team:

  • Optimize the workforce deployment taking work centers, operator qualifications, job rotation and production planning into account;

  • Ensure a smooth shift transition: coordinate startups, shutdowns, changeovers including the communication and paper work;

  • Responsible for quality control: make adjustments as necessary during shift to produce products within specifications. Reject products outside of specifications.

  • Responsible for efficiency (On Time Delivery), safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice: critical parameters, batch and behavior, visual management);

  • You manage continuously the shift performance for key performance drivers (safety, quality, delivery, cost and inventory)

  • Daily management is your operating mechanism for day to day performance insurance.

  • You will work in close collaboration with other departments (product management, supply chain, quality, sales project managers, manufacturing engineering, etc.) and with frequent global interactions,

  • Support new processes/products in work centers. Coordinate with the necessary departments for feedback, communication and training.

  • You interface frequently, at local level, with peer’s departments in order to escalate in case production schedule is at risk.

  • As a people leader, you support our organisation’s Quality, Safety, Health & Environmental Management System in the process of continuous improvement. In this regard you take responsibility & accountability for supporting & coaching your employees.

  • As a people leader, you build people, teams and organizations. You coaches and mentors people, providing direct, constructive, empathetic, and timely performance feedback. You leads, energizes, and engages individuals to achieve personal development and business goals retains talent.

  • You leads through DBS: you ensures high expectations for results throughout the organization; leads by personal example.

    Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent by experience

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant first line leadership experience

  • Dutch and English required

  • You are able to work in shifts

  • You are able to get results under pressure, are punctual and are a good organizer and people coach.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • You are proficient MS Office(Excel), experience with ERP-software is a plus (preferably SAP)

  • You have a healthy interest in technology (mechanics, electro-mechanics)
