Eaton Corporation Material Handler II 2nd Shift in Hodges, South Carolina

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Material Handler II 2nd Shift.

The hourly rate for this position is $17.00 per hour with $1 per hour shift differential.

What you’ll do:

Eaton’s Commercial & Residential Distribution Solutions division is currently seeking an Assembly Technician II to join our team on 2nd shift. This position is based at our Hodges, SC location.

Hourly Rate: Starting at $17.00 Plus $1.00 Shift Differential

Position Overview:

The Assembler II – Material Handler will be responsible for material movement within the facility with focus on safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity. This role will be responsible for material handling for the Low Voltage Assemblies.

They will work with a team and flex in all areas of the warehouse and logistics department as needed.

In this function you will:

You will be responsible for complex assemblies to fulfill customer requirements/orders by producing quality products, safely, in a timely manner following Standard Work.

• Comply with the environment, health, and safety guidelines.

• Sustainment of 5S+ in area.

• Responsible for visual inspections of material before and after production.

• Responsible for performing inventory transactions through MRP system and picks accurately and timely.

• Responsible for performing cycle count transaction as required.

• Responsible for transporting material throughout the facility.

• Responsible for loading and unloading trucks.

• Responsible for disposal for the scrap material (excluding metals).

• Use appropriate lift assist or partner lift when moving material/products. May lift and carry up to 50 lbs and push or pull up to 100 lbs.

• Flex to other areas as needed or perform tasks of other positions as needed.

Qualifications:

• Authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship

Preferred qualifications :

• 6 months of manufacturing experience in an industrial manufacturing environment

• 6 months of experience operating a PIT (Powered Industrial Truck)

• South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent

Skills:

Position Criteria :

• Proven problem-solving skills.

• Effective oral and written communication skills as well as planning and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage by influence through solid relationships and process focus
