Position Information:

  • 1st Shift: Monday- Friday 6AM- 2:30PM

  • This is an on-site role in Hodges, SC.

  • Benefits are available Day 1.

Role Definition:

Work hands-on in a manufacturing environment dealing with day-to-day waste handling, inspections, shipping, etc., stormwater and SPCC inspections and sampling. Able to drive a forklift and work inside and outside.

What you will do (includes but not limited to):

  • Waste (Hazardous, Non-Hazardous, Regulated, Universal, Oil, Recycling)

  • Oversee day to day functions of all waste streams such as maintaining waste collection points, emptying and replacing containers, labeling, shipping, training, scheduling shipments, filing and tracking all manifest.

  • Conducting all areas weekly inspections

  • Develop and maintain waste inventory list per classification and departments, conduct waste determinations, profiles, collect analytical data, waste assessment documentation.

  • Keep site monthly waste logs.

  • SWP3

  • Help maintains outside cleanliness.

  • Conduct Daily walk arounds.

  • Conduct Monthly documented inspections.

  • Help maintain site BMP’s.

  • Conduct quarterly samples.

  • Assist in site training.

  • Lead site SWP3 required team, annual inspection, and annual meeting.

  • Air

  • Help maintain daily required checks.

  • Help maintain site OSIL log.

  • Help with site monthly tracking reports and data collection.

  • Assist with site operator training of baghouse reading requirements.

  • SPCC

  • Maintain storage areas.

  • Conduct monthly inspections.

  • Assist in Train employees.

  • Sustainability

  • Assist site with corporate required tracking.

  • Assist site with sustainability projects.

  • Continuously research for waste cost savings and reduction.

What you have:

  • Working knowledge of basic computer programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Previous Forklift experience

  • Strong communication skills

Top Candidates will also have:

  • Experience with Air Permits, Stormwater (SWP3), Spill Prevention (SPCC), and waste management.

  • Previous Environmental, Health, and/or Safety experience

  • Previous foundry experience

  • Experience with RCRA, DOT, SWP3, SPCC,

  • Associate’s degree in EHS, OSHA, or other related program
