Job Summary

  • Resourceful in the local market and the healthcare business to work well with different vendors and freelancers related to Market Research Fieldwork

  • Excellent in working closely and negotiating price with vendors/freelancers to ensure data quality meets expectation, on-time delivery, and compliant to IQVIA process (include AE reporting)

  • Strong in effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate end-to-end project execution

  • Passionate in improving processes and taking regional initiatives at the local level

As the Fieldwork Effectiveness Manager, the main aim of the role is to support vendor management activities including sourcing and managing the vendor’s performance when it comes to both Quantitative and Qualitative study as well as negotiating on the vendor terms which is beneficial to our IQVIA business.


Pre-Project and Ongoing Tasks

  • Work closely with the Market Research team to select the qualified local/regional vendors

  • Develop a stable vendor pool to support both regional and local projects with a standard rate card

  • Facilitate end-to-end pricing and project execution among PI (Local & Regional), Hub and Vendor

  • Drive local compliance on the regional initiatives & process with the local champions

  • Identify gaps or areas of improvement in current process and propose and implement solution upon aligning with internal key stakeholders.

Project Setup Task

  • Train & onboard selected vendors following our internal protocol

  • Handling multiple projects and advising on project set up best practices

  • Update & maintain ongoing project files and documentation (contracts/SOW, PO, delivery requirements)

Ongoing Project Task

  • Monitor fieldwork progress

  • Facilitate discussion between Market Research team and vendors on resolutions if there are any difficulties during execution

Post Project Task

  • Evaluate vendors’ performance and take any corrective/preventive action

  • Validation of supplier documents and working with Finance to ensure payment of services


  • Graduate/Postgraduate; preferably medical/biomedical or life sciences discipline with 5-6 years of related experience

  • At least 3 years of vendor management/project management experience; preferably in Primary Market Research

  • Good analytical capabilities, in order to interpret stakeholders’ requirements

  • Good interpersonal skills, in order to build and maintain healthy relationship with stakeholders and vendors

  • Works willingly and effectively with others in and across the organization to accomplish project goals

  • Good communication skills – both written and verbal. Able to convey message clearly to stakeholders and vendors

  • Conversant in both English and local language (Vietnamese)

  • Disciplined, self-motivated, team spirited. Able to operate effectively as part of a team

  • Own initiative with minimal supervision, but able to recognize when decisions have to be escalated

  • Ability to work towards deadlines and under pressure, as well as constant prioritization of work

  • Effective time management skills

  • Ability to multi-task is vital
