Partner with BAYADA to become an RBT:

  • Fully PAID training to prepare you to become a nationally certified Registered Behavior Technician® (RBT®) (includes exam reimbursement)

  • Up to 80 hours of classroom and hands-on learning to use applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy to help clients learn and grow

Responsibilities for a BAYADA Behavior Technician includes:

  • Work directly with students in the classroom, following the established service plan.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients and school teams. Respect the values, thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes of clients and families.

  • Implement behavior therapy techniques and collaborate with teachers to support the student in the classroom environment.

  • Document interventions and progress towards goals

  • Collect behavior data as specified in client behavior plan.

  • Provide training, instruction, and assistance to help the student acquire and maintain skills and to help meet identified goals.

  • Provide training and/or support to the client in interpersonal skills, the development and maintenance of personal relationships, and building independence in their school routine.

Qualifications for a School-Based Behavior Technician:

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certified or the desire to pursue certification (paid for by BAYADA)

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • One year experience working with children with developmental/intellectual disabilities in a school setting preferred

  • Education Qualifications

  • A minimum of an Associate's degree OR

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program with a minimum of 48 credits earned OR

  • Passage of the ParaPro Praxis assessment (BAYADA assistance available)
