Alert Alarm Hawaii Alarm Technician - Hilo in Hilo, Hawaii

The Alarm Technician provides alarm system installation which requires low voltage wiring, performing testing and troubleshooting on the systems, and compliance with local codes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install and wire alarm system per local building and fire code
  • Read, understand and follow blueprints
  • Conduct a proper test and inspection
  • Troubleshoot and service a fire alarm system
  • Communicate expectations with customers
  • Ability to work 80% of the time in the field
  • May require oncall work

Education and Experience:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of fire alarm experience and low voltage experience preferred, but not required
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Safe driving record
  • Must pass a background check and drug test
  • Examines systems to locate problems such as loose connections or broken insulation.
  • Demonstrates systems and explains details such as the causes and consequences of false alarms.
  • Cleans up debris from the alarm service work area.
  • Provides excellent customer service aligning with company mission statement.
