Business Unit Overview

Bob Evans Farms operates in multiple convenience foods categories within grocery and club. It holds #1 market positions in three major categories. This winning brand has been experiencing strong growth, a trend it's expecting to continue mostly through its leadership in the refrigerated dinner and breakfast categories. Bob Evans Farms products are distributed nationally in retailers throughout North America. Responsibilities This position is responsible for the slicing, stuffing, packaging and boxing of sausage products manually or by mechanical means to produce both work in process and finished goods products. This job may include the loading, unloading of materials, packaging and finished goods products from racks or pallets. Accountabilities 1. Adhere to all safety requirements including the wearing of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as prescribed for each work activity or job. 2. Adhering to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), package, stuff or slice, raw materials to designated weights on an individual package or case weight basis. 3. Meet production performance requirements in a fast paced work environment 4. Transfers finished products and raw materials to identified location in the plant/warehouse or on production line. . 5. Follows all SQF principles pertinent to the position as specified by the SQF Practioner. 6. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications Knowledge · Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form · Ability to communicate production issues, counts and weights to supervision or lead personnel · Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations · Knowledge of GMP and safe food manufacturing practices a plus Education/Experience · High school diploma or general education degree (GED) (preferred) · Fork Lift/Pallet Jack Certification a plus QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
