Aerotek CNC Programmer in Hillsboro, Oregon

Description:

Seeking an experienced Machinist who is well versed in both CNC Programming and machine operations. This role works closely with the CNC Mill Machinists to assist in programming, set up, and troubleshooting of the HAAS Mills.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday day shift 7am - 4pm (after a few months there can be flexible on shift times)

  • Use of MasterCam and GibbsCam software to program CNC mill machinery

  • Work closely with machinists and engineers to ensure the specific requirements are met when the job involves a non-standard milling procedure.

  • Ensure new and/or revised programs are accurate, consistent, and uphold quality standards. Troubleshooting and revising problems as they arise.

  • Majority of the machines are 3 axis vertical machines. There are some 5 axis machines and future of the shop is heading in that direction -- experience programming and setting up 5 axis machines are highly preferred but not a disqualifier.

  • Experience working with parts made from steel, aluminum, titanium, and composite material.

  • Experience in an ISO certified shop is ideal but not required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and/or GED

  • 2+ years of programming experience with MasterCam software

  • If no programming experience, at least 5 years of high level CNC Machining Experience in a set up capacity

  • Experience running cnc machines (vertical, horizontal, or preferably 5 axis)

  • Strong computer literacy

  • Coachable attitude and willing to learn new processes and software

Pay is flexible depending on experience with 5 axis machine programming.
