Join Davis Tool's expanding Maintenance Team and make a difference. Our service mechanics repair critical equipment, perform preventive and predictive maintenance and complete projects such as machine and facilities upgrades. As a maintenance technician, you will interface with machine operators to determine best course of action and communicate clearly and concisely with management. Our equipment list includes but is not limited to CNC machining and turning machinery, lasers turret punches and a variety of manufacturing equipment required to support our cutting edge precision manufacturing facility.

Our dynamic environment has many opportunities to learn, grow, and be a leader. We are looking for individuals with experience performing mechanical repairs, equipment installation and maintenance of machining centers and large facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preventive Maintenance of CNC machines on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, addressing potential issues before they escalate.

  • Apply deep understanding of troubleshooting to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electronic, software, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

  • Work from drawings, wiring diagrams, maintenance manuals and verbal instructions to repair and perform general maintenance duties.

  • Schedule and interface with 3rd party machine manufacturer maintenance

  • Assemble and install mechanical equipment and systems such as production machinery/tools.

  • Specify preventive maintenance work.

  • Use precision measuring tools to verify compliance to engineering specifications and tolerances

    We are looking for candidates who:

  • Interpret and follow blueprints, drawings, ladder and schematic diagrams, and general instructions to plan and layout test and repair procedures.

  • Have 3 or more years of mechanical repair and machine maintenance experience. Experience with CNC machines is desirable.

  • Understand mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

  • Have a knowledge of standard safety regulations.

  • Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Have high attention to detail and are organized.

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.

    Education and Qualifications:

  • Degree or certificate in related field; Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automated Machinery Systems is a plus but not required.
