Description

Financial Analyst - Review and analyze annual financial statements submitted by cooperative and commercial real estate

borrowers. - 70%

Identify loans in violation of various covenants including minimum Debt Service Coverage requirements, Assessment Receivables, reserve requirements.  Also create and update Watch List commentary, ensure adequate risk ratings, recommend risk rating changes, identify new risk areas or potential credit problems. - 20%

Electronically submit annual financial statements to investors and respond to incoming inquiries regarding line item variances and other issues. - 5%

Assist with special projects for: Investor Compliance, Risk Management, Investors, and Rating Agencies. -- 5%

 

Minimum Qualifications:

BA/BS degree (Accounting/Finance/Business preferred) or a minimum of 3 years' experience in commercial real estate or commercial banking, preferably in a financial analysis or underwriting role.

Prefer 3-years' experience in commercial/commercial real estate banking and/or underwriting/analysis, or an accounting/finance background.

The candidate should be proficient in reviewing financial statements for multiple property types (Cooperative Housing, Community Associations, and Commercial Real Estate). 

The candidate should have a firm knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Edge.  The Bank uses additional internal and externally-developed software systems for financial reporting and loan tracking.  The analyst must be comfortable with learning new software systems.
