* Duties/Responsibilities:*

  • Derive and allocate requirements into detailed design
  • Design, develop, and test displays, controls and functionality
  • Design, develop, and test simulation software for use in high fidelity simulation-based training systems; training systems may include a combination of console and weapon system simulations, virtual reality, and augmented reality
  • Design and develop artificial intelligence algorithms to tutor, assess and evaluate learner knowledge
  • Develop and maintain databases to monitor and analyze learner and system performance
  • Collaborate with Systems and Quality Engineers to ensure software requirements are achieved
  • Perform software peer reviews, version control, automated tests, software analysis, continuous integration, and continuous delivery in accordance with Development, Security and Operations (DevSecOps) processes and best practices
  • Perform code quality management and corrects defects
  • Coordinates with Hardware/Software Team to perform retests and regression tests once defects are corrected

Basic Qualifications:

  • Systems Engineering Experience and/or Certification
  • Knowledge of or experience in the software development process
  • Journeyman skill set includes ability to perform all stated/implied duties within this tier and those reasonably derived from preceding tier
  • Must possess and maintain a TOP SECRET clearance

     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineering License (desired)
  • ICBM acquisition and/or sustainment experience preferred
  • Additional specialty certification related to firewall, wireless, security or management (desired)
  • Advanced knowledge of monitoring tools, ticketing systems, and Office suite (desired)

*Education/Experience: *

  • BS Degree in electrical, computer or software engineering + 6 years of related engineering experience, OR
  • BS Degree in an engineering discipline AND MS Degree in electrical, computer or software engineering + 4 years of related engineering experience, OR
  • BS and/or MS Degree in an engineering discipline AND PhD in electrical, computer or software engineering + 2 years of related engineering experience

*Other Requirements: *

  • Secret Security Clearance
  • Must pass background check and drug screening
  • Must be able to read and write effectively in English
