Job Summary and Qualifications:

  • Coordinates the work crew and participates in grounds maintenance and upkeep. Supervises assigned employees. Plans and implements maintenance and landscaping for Highlands Cashiers Hospital (HCH) grounds.
  • Maintains clean and safe facility grounds. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Required Education: Preferred Education: High school diploma or equivalent Associates Degree in Horticulture or Landscaping.
  • Required License: Must have a valid NC drivers license or procure one within 30 days of employment unless an out-of-state commuter, at least two years of satisfactory driving experience, and be at least 18 years of age to meet the Mission Health established insurance guidelines.
  • Preferred License: Pesticide Applicator Certification.
  • Required Experience:Landscaping and Gardening experience.
  • Preferred Experience: 3 years' experience in gardening or landscaping for a large operation.

Highlands-Cashiers Hos italis a community hospital serving Macon, Jackson and the surrounding counties. Located between the towns of Highlands and Cashiers, the hospital offers 24/7 emergency care, acute inpatient care, rehabilitation, as well as long-term care through Eckerd Living Center. Ambulatory services are also available, including therapy services and primary care.
