MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Work with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather information and understand project requirement.

  • Create detailed, accurate, and well-organized technical specifications for construction projects, including materials, equipment, methods, and quality standards.

  • Research and analyze industry best practices, regulations, and codes to ensure compliance and stay up-to-date with specification development.

  • Ensure that specifications align with project goals, budgets, timelines, and consider sustainability, safety, and functionality requirements.

  • Organize and structure specification documents using standardized formats, templates, and software tools.

  • Review and edit specifications to make sure they are clear, accurate, consistent, and meet project requirements and industry standards.

  • Coordinate with project teams and experts to gather input and verify technical details in the specifications.

  • Collaborate with legal and procurement departments to include contract terms and conditions in the specifications.

  • Act as a point of contact between project teams, clients, and contractors to address specification-related inquiries and provide clarification as needed.

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and design professionals to ensure that specifications align with design drawings.
