Trident Maritime System - Custom Alloy Metallurgical Quality Control Inspector in High Bridge, New Jersey

Job Title: Metallurgical Quality Control Inspector

Department: Quality - 1015

Location: High Bridge, NJ

Summary

Responsible for overseeing and executing comprehensive metallurgical quality inspections at various stages of the manufacturing process, ensuring adherence to both internal specifications and customer expectations. Duties include meticulous record-keeping in alignment with Quality Systems Procedure Manuals, Quality Control Management, and Quality Control Standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct dimensional evaluations for standard, non-standard, and nuclear fittings.

  • Oversee receiving, in-process, and final inspections.

  • Perform ultrasonic thickness measurements and hardness testing.

  • Conduct Positive Material Inspection (PMI).

  • Execute visual assessments and marking verification.

  • Approve and verify heat treat charts.

  • Maintain meticulous documentation and traceability.

  • Handle equipment calibration activities.

  • Demonstrate problem-solving abilities and knowledge of emergency procedures.

  • Perform tasks that may involve heavy lifting.

  • Fulfill duties in both indoor and outdoor work environments as directed by supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Experience with CCM Romer is beneficial.

  • Possess foundational math skills and precision measuring instrument proficiency.

  • Exhibit punctuality, attention to detail, and effective English communication skills.

  • Prioritize workplace cleanliness and adherence to safety protocols.

  • Consistently wear approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).

  • Must be a US Citizen.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Metallurgical Manufacturing Technology, Quality Assurance, Engineering, or 2 years related discipline is preferred.

  • Manufacturing/Industrial metallurgical experience preferred.
