Location: High Bridge, NJSummaryTrident Maritime Systems - Custom Alloy is seeking a Metallurgical Laborer for 1st shift and 2nd shift. This is an exciting opportunity to have a career with a continually growing and expanding company. Trident Maritime Systems - Custom Alloy is a manufacturing company located in rural Hunterdon County, NJ, producing high quality custom steel seamless and welded pipe fittings and forgings for commercial, nuclear, defense, aerospace and utility use, as well as subsea applications and gas transmission.ResponsibilitiesUtilize lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, belt sanders, and table saws for machining test samples from raw metal materials.Conduct Charpy impact, tensile, and chemical tests on various metals.Maintain comprehensive logs and records of all test results.Perform Rockwell B and C hardness tests when required.Generate purchase orders for external testing services.Execute additional tasks as assigned by supervisory personnel.QualificationsA strong work ethicAttention to detailPositive attitudeAble to work independently or as an active member of a teamComplete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient mannerExcellent interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of managementEnglish and Spanish fluency a plusEducation and/or ExperienceVocational school or trade apprenticeships a plusOperating and tending machinery and heavy equipment.Fork truck experienceShipping/Receiving experience a plusSchedule1st shift (7am - 3:30pm)2nd shift (3:30pm - 12am +10% shift differential)Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
