Job Summary
Responsible for the accurate processing and recording of Flagstar's payroll, providing timely and accurate financial information. Participates in daily data entry Payroll processing. Compiles and records employee time and payroll data. May compute employees' time worked, production and commissions. May compute and post wages and deductions or prepare paychecks. Compiles payroll data such as garnishments, vacation time, insurance and 401(k) deductions. Responsible for overseeing the accuracy of completed shifts and contacting various department supervisors for any missed times. Prepares and distributes reports on missing time. Responds to inquiries about payroll data. Responsible for adhering to SOX controls outlined for the Payroll Department.

Pay Range: $16.31 - $22.87 - $29.44

Job Responsibilities:

  • Compiles payroll data such as garnishments, vacation time, insurance and 401(k) deductions.
  • Pulls electronic time cards and reviews the information for completeness and accuracy. Contacts various department supervisors for any missed times. Prepares and distributes reports on missing time.
  • Ensures accuracy of all payroll data entered. Oversees the transfer of payroll data to third parties and resolves issues.
  • Compiles internal management reports from the payroll system. Responds to inquiries about payroll data. Trains users on payroll system.


ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.


JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Education level required: High School / High School Equivalency (GED, HiSET, TASC) / Foreign Equivalent
  • Minimum experience required: 3 Years
  • Payroll, data entry, Workday experience
