Instructional Systems Designer (ISD)

DarkStar Intelligence is looking for an instructional systems designer (ISD) to support our team in Hawaii. 

Location: Honolulu, Hawaii 

FSLA Status: Full-Time

Citizenship: Applicants must be U.S. Citizens

Position Type: On-Site

Clearance Level: TS/SCI + CI Polygraph

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To assist PDP Facilitators in developing courseware and curriculum. 

  • Work with subject matter experts, PDP facilitators, and functional owners to help design, develop, and produce lesson plans and learning objectives, course materials, and assessments as required to meet current and emerging JIOC and INDOPACOM mission areas and priorities using industry best practices.

  • Utilize ADDlE and other industry-standard learning development models to design and develop both synchronous and asynchronous instructional content across multiple modalities, including platform/classroom instruction, distance/distributed learning, and web-based/computer-based training.

  • Lead and work within a team of ISD, SME, and PDP facilitators to define and develop instructional design projects.

  • Ensure courseware and instructional materials are developed and delivered according to established project timelines.

  • Creates, updates, and develops both new and existing materials to meet industry standards and best practices in adult learning and meeting COE accreditation standards while accommodating multiple delivery formats and available resources.

  • Supports course documentation, including, but not limited to, the course design document, instructor/facilitator and student guides, course syllabus, practical exercises, assessments, and related materials.

    Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of DoD/military/Federal experience within the training/education field.

  • Undergraduate degree or higher in education/learning that meets OPM standards for Instructional Systems job series ( 1750)

  • TS/SCI + CI poly, or willingness and ability to acquire a CI poly

    Desired Qualifications

  • 10+ years of DoD/military experience in training/education, including the INDOPACOM AoR assignments and appropriate IT, security, and vendor certifications.
