Job Location: Hershey, PA * Hourly Pay Rate:* $19.00 or more based on your experience * Minimum Age:* 18 years of age or older * Availability:* Requires availability to work nights, weekends and holiday shifts. Shift times will vary based on seasonal operating hours and business need. There may be some limited weekday shifts available during off-peak periods. Hershey’s Bartenders work in the Bar section of the Hershey’s Chocolate World attraction to wow, delight, and serve our guests. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong skills in food prep and production, service, and guest interaction. Such skills to include multitasking, ability to think ahead and plan, lead self and others, sense of urgency, meet or exceed the pace set by leaders, and overall preparedness for peak service periods. _ Major Duties/Responsibilities:_ * Hershey’s Bartenders provide prompt and courteous service to Hershey’s Chocolate World guests within the Hershey’s Chocolate World bar area and alcohol sales and service * Candidates will complete prep work appropriate beverages, including preparation of garnishments, offered in their station for the expected level of business * Team members will be responsible for cleaning workstations and equipment according to standard operating procedures and weekly/monthly schedules * Engage with guests by recommending and helping them choose beverages * Hershey’s Bartenders will complete daily temperature logs; properly rotate, label, and store prepped food items; monitor hot and cold food holding temperatures; and other required food safety duties * Performs other related duties as assigned by the Food Service Managers or manager-on-duty such as assist with cashiering when needed or stocking/restocking inventory _ Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:_ * Ability to work independently and multitask * Candidates must possess (or be able to complete within 6 months) Pennsylvania RAMP server training and Food Handler certification * Friendly, enthusiastic, and team player attitude * Perform basic side work tasks (stocking, prepping, and cleaning) * Serve alcoholic beverages according to SOP with appropriate glassware and garnishes * Perform beer, wine, and food server skills typical of a kitchen environment (knife skills, follow recipe, attention to detail, follow beverage portion control, etc.) * Ability to read and follow a recipe and instructions * Ability to work at a fast pace for an extended period * Must maintain a neat appearance and meet the uniform standards * Must be able to continuously push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds * Must be able to walk or stand for 5-8 hours * Position requires repetitive tasks with repetitive motions * Position requires pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, stooping, and twisting * Position requires communication skills * Ability to function effectively as part of a team _ Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:_ * Individual with a high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred but not required * At least 1 year of experience in high volume restaurant, hotel, or catering operation is required * Previous experience with serving alcohol is required _ What’s in it for you?_ * Free meal and non-alcoholic drinks for every shift worked Flexible scheduling * Holiday pay and the opportunity for annual pay raises * 50% OFF all Hershey Kitchens’ food plus free candy * Employee recognition programs, cook-outs, and many other activities This description covers the most significant duties performed, but you may be responsible for other minor-related work assignments.
