ManTech is seeking an experienced and highly technical Systems Engineer to join our team in Herndon, VA . As a Systems Engineer on our team, you will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of an enterprise vulnerability management platform. This role is vital to ensuring the smooth operation and high availability of critical enterprise service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux systems, cloud computing, and relational database management.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Install, configure, and maintain a high-availability enterprise web application on virtual machines

  • Assist in the setup and management of high-availability database clusters, supporting optimal performance and reliability

  • Monitor the performance and availability of deployed software, proactively identifying and resolving issues

  • Provide training to customers on new product features

  • Collaborate with vendor development teams to understand software updates and implement them effectively

  • Collaborate with product teams on customer feedback and feature request

  • Document processes related to software deployment, configuration, and maintenance

  • Work with Vendor to learn tool and become familiar enough to train others

  • Provide Tier I and Tier II product support to onsite customers

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with Systems Engineering

  • Experience in managing and configuring Linux servers such as RHEL, CENTOS and ROCKY

  • Experience running traditional hosts in AWS.

  • Experience with SQL

  • Experience with AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, and VPC

  • Experience with system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning

  • Active/Current TS/SCI with polygraph clearance

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or other relevant certifications

  • Knowledge of relational databases, deploying and managing high-availability database clusters

  • Knowledge of monitoring cloud hosted servers

  • Knowledge of troubleshooting cloud hosted servers including network issues and data flows

  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Familiarity with PHP-based web applications

  • Familiarity with scripting in languages such as Python, Bash, or Shell.

  • Strong communication skills, capable of working with developers, and product owners, and end-users to understand and meet their needs

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
