Lockheed Martin Systems Administrator Sr Stf in Herndon, Virginia

Description: We’re delivering full-spectrum cyber capabilities and cyber-resilient systems to our defense, intelligence community and global security customers. In this role you will have the opportunity to:

- Act as the Domain/System Administrator of the Mission LAN, and oversee the maintenance, optimal function, and patching of the LAN's operating system, and the GOTS, COTS, and custom software products running on it

- Perform system startup, shutdown, backups, and restores and maintain records of the Mission operating system upgrades/changes for reporting purposes

- Conduct virus scanning and firewall protection of the Mission LAN in compliance with the Sponsor's ISSM

- Serve as the Data Transfer Officer between UNCLASS and CLASSIFIED networks as needed

- Obtain appropriate assistance from the Sponsor's corporate resources when required, if encountering a problem that the Contractor team cannot solve

- Ensure security compliance with the Sponsor's ISSM for all components of the Mission LAN

- Perform other technical ad hoc duties within the scope of the contract as mutually agreed upon by the Contractor and the Government

Basic Qualifications:

• Professional technical degree in Computer Science, Engineering, and/or IT management.

• Eight or more years of core work experience in technical areas related to the position requirements.

• Familiarity with the Sponsor’s system security requirements and the ability to implement necessary requirements.

• Minimum of 10-14 years’ experience (within the last 10 years) in systems administration

• Demonstrated experience designing, configuring and installing information systems that include routers, servers, switches, storage systems and laptops.

• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing Microsoft Windows and Linux based domains.

• Demonstrated experience with issue tracking tools such as JIRA

• TS/SCI poly SP clearance required

Desired Skills:

• Experience working with ESRI products

• Experience with Oracle database management

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
