Description

We are seeking a skilled Sr. Test Engineer to support an Intel Community (IC) customer. This role will focus on developing and implementing test strategies to ensure the reliability and performance of complex systems. The successful candidate will play a critical role in integrating solutions that align with customer needs and technical constraints, setting and maintaining testing standards, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure system readiness.

Herndon, VA with 50% Remote Work

Responsibilities:

  • Translate customer needs and technical requirements into integrated testing solutions.

  • Establish and maintain integration and testing standards across projects.

  • Design and implement comprehensive test strategies to ensure system reliability and quality.

  • Collaborate with multiple organizations to coordinate integration and testing activities.

  • Prepare systems for testing and assess their readiness for deployment.

  • Compile and analyze test data to identify necessary system changes.

  • Ensure compliance with testing processes, track key metrics, and report on performance.

  • Evaluate system performance, analyze results, and prepare detailed reports.

  • Investigate and validate reports, manage discrepancies, and ensure accurate fixes.

Requirements

  • Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience.

  • An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Security Clearance:

  • Top Secret SCI with poly

  • Technical Experience:

  • Proficient in front-end, back-end, and middle-tier testing.

  • Experience with development environments such as Java, Wildfly, Openshift, Docker, Jenkins, Git, Redmine, Artifactory, Postgres, Cloud technologies (e.g., S3, ElastiCache), and Oracle.

  • Agile:

  • Solid understanding and experience with Agile methodologies.

  • Ability to lead tester roles within Agile scrum teams.

Desired:

  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with software testing methodologies.

  • Familiarity with using Redmine for tracking and managing test activities.

  • Proven experience working within Agile frameworks, interacting with end users, supporting sprint reviews and demos, and conducting In-Plant Acceptance testing.

  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium is a plus.
