Amentum Senior Wireless Network Developer in Herndon, Virginia

Key Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Routing & Switching – 5+ years' experience in this area. With 3+ Years in Network Engineering

  • Strong knowledge of Aruba ClearPass and mobility master.

  • Strong knowledge of BGP (including route reflectors), OSPF Routing Protocols & VRF/ Routing Instance

  • Hands on Experience in one of the Firewall Technologies Aruba Wireless

  • Configuring and troubleshooting 802.1Q VLAN trunking

  • Configuring and troubleshooting L2 domains with PVST+ and 802.1w with 802.1s for rapid Spanning Tree, and Ether channel using LACP ,PAGP & HSRP FHRP protocols

  • Configuring and troubleshooting Multi-VRF Enterprise network

  • Configuring and troubleshooting LAN Switching including Cisco Catalyst/ Nexus family of blades and switches.

  • Configuring and troubleshooting IPSEC site-to-site VPNs

  • Desirable: Hands-on experience in configuring and monitoring network equipment, including Cisco WAN routers, LAN switches, load balancers, SNMP managers, and protocol analyzers.

  • Desirable: Experience in Junos Switching Platform

  • Desirable: Hands-on experience in configuring and supporting F5 Load balancers.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Cyber Security, Computer Science or a related technical discipline with 5+ years of experience with development and security; an additional 4 years of experience may be substituted for a degree

  • Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience with radio frequencies, TCP/IP, IEEE 802.11 and 802.15 protocols, and cellular protocols

  • Working knowledge and hands-on experience with mobile (portable) and enterprise-class WIDS, wireless scanning, and spectrum analysis products

  • Working knowledge of the tools and methodologies used by wireless penetration/hackers

  • Strong knowledge of industry and IC policies and procedures with respect to wireless intrusion detection and secure wireless networking

  • Experience with site surveys and site design tools for the purpose of efficient and effective deployment of WLAN and WIDS

  • Working knowledge or experience with RF Spectrum analysis tools

  • Experience and understanding of wireless vulnerabilities and WLAN-specific security threats, software weaknesses, and mitigation strategies

  • Must possess current DoD 8570 IAT III certification; AWS certification(s) preferred

  • Desired Certifications: Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA), Certified Wireless Security Professional (CWSP), GIAC Assessing and Auditing Wireless Networks (GAWN)

  • Must have an active TS/SCI with Poly level clearance.
