POSITION TITLE: Senior Software Engineer

SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Build customer-facing software products and solutions using AngularJS and ReactJS, Node.js, .NET and Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL). Act as lead for the development team, helping to determine the right solution to solve the problem. Document technical designs using proven software design principles and diagrams. Troubleshoot, identify, and fix defects through standard techniques such as debugging, profiling, logging, log analysis, tracing reproduction steps and using tools such as FullStory to replay user sessions. Monitor deployment of code to Staging and, eventually, production environments using Azure DevOps. Work with core product team to address any issues found in testing. Maintain and enhance internal UI component libraries as product design standards evolve. Attend and participate in various agile software development process meetings such as daily standups, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives, sprint planning and software effort sizing. Document, decompose and size project stories in Azure DevOps into development tasks that developers can take ownership of and code per the stated acceptance criteria. Review and provide critical feedback on Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), Visual designs, Epics, and Stories written by Product Designers. Provide recommendations to Product Manager, Product Designers, Director, or Tech Lead on alternative product or technical solutions that would optimize the proposed product feature in terms of speed of delivery, superior customer experience and cost saving. Provide coding and architecture feedback to other engineers. Onboard new engineers to the team by sharing best practices and keeping team documentation. Duties may be performed remotely.

REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer and Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field, and three (3) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related role. Employer will also accept Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer and Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field, and five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related role. Three (3) years of experience with: Professional front end UI/UX development and modern JavaScript frameworks; Building single page applications (SPA) utilizing modern JavaScript frameworks; HTML5, CSS3, AngularJS/ReactJS, REST, and JSON web applications; Client-side scripting languages, such as jQuery, JavaScript, Bootstrap, or JSON; CSS pre-processing platforms, such as SASS and LESS; and Source code management using Git. Two (2) years of experience with: View layout and rendering technologies, including responsiveness, progressive enhancement, and browser and device support; Building and maintaining CI/CD Build and Release pipelines in Azure DevOps; DBMS platforms, such as MSSQL and Oracle; Performance tuning web client applications; Building, integrating, and maintaining RESTful and SOAP services; and Node.js for server-side rendering (SSR).
