ManTech is seeking a Data Scientist in Herndon, VA . The Data Scientist is responsible for making data available, accessible, and secure to all stakeholders. As a Data Engineer on our team you will design, build, and optimize systems for data collection, storage, access, and analytics at enterprise scale.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Create robust and resilient data pipelines to connect data sources to analytics tools

  • Work with various analysts to craft requirements

  • Enumerate the necessary datasets and design the data model and schemas to support the requirements

  • Provide platform support, including problem solving and debugging, for production issues

  • Interact and collaborate across the services and communities involved in multi-domain Cyber Defense to achieve breakthrough improvements in capabilities

Required qualifications:

  • 6+ months of experience with data engineering

  • Experience with programming, coding, or scripting

  • Experience working with various file formats such as JSON, XML or similar

  • Knowledge of the data ETL pipeline, including data retrieval

  • Active/Current TS/SCI with polygraph clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in technical field of study such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or similar field

  • Experience writing code or scripts in Python

  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases

  • Experience briefing other stakeholders on your findings and recommendations

  • Knowledge of data extraction, transformation, normalization, enrichment, correlation, storage, and API development and integration

  • Ability to demonstrate effective research, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to demonstrate effective organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to collaborate with others who are conducting research in the same, similar, or different areas

Clearance Requirements:

  • Active/Current TS/SCI with polygraph
