ManTech Cyber Software Engineer in Herndon, Virginia

ManTech is seeking a Software Engineer in Herndon, VA to support an enterprise-wide cybersecurity program. This role requires a highly skilled problem-solver who has the business knowledge and technological expertise to build upon, maintain, and grow an innovative data analytics platform that supports the ever-changing needs of our customers.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of course work, lab work or work experience with programming and scripting

  • Knowledge of software version control systems

  • Current/Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with programming or scripting in Python

  • Experience using Git

  • Experience working in AWS or other cloud environments

  • Experience with defining enterprise information system requirements, performing system or application design, developing capability prototypes, and transitioning applications to production

  • Knowledge of drafting technical program documentation, such as end user operational instructions or training guidelines

  • Ability to collaborate with others who are conducting research in the same, similar, or different areas (strong teamwork skills)

  • Knowledge of Application Programming Interfaces (APls) and manipulating large datasets

  • Knowledge of AWS cloud services, such as Lambdas, EC2s, or S3

  • Knowledge of analytic platforms, such as Splunk, Elasticsearch/Kibana or others

  • Effective research and analytical skills

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Strong oral and written presentation skills and the ability to brief others on your findings and recommendations

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Clearance Requirement:

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
