We are looking for an experienced Configuration Manager to join our technology-based program supporting a key government customer in a fast paced, challenging, and career rewarding experience. This program delivers Enterprise Computing engineering services with modern technology solutions with that function both on customer premise, and via remote Cloud services.

In this role you will:

  • Create, maintain, and organize documentation to ensure effective information communication, processes, and transparency

  • Work collaboratively with the team to design, build, test, and deploy changes to new and existing software

  • Build out, manage, improve, and optimize large and growing infrastructure

  • Drive changes that stimulate automation and modernize operations

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the development and production environments

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions using cloud based services

  • Maintain and improve existing infrastructure (build out autoscaling, support new services, optimize for cost efficiencies/authentication/search, etc)

  • Ensure security best practices are followed in all aspects of infrastructure, code deployment, and software development

  • Choose and maintain the best tools and technologies for the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) process

  • Competence of new processes documentation and transferring that knowledge in a team environment

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

BAE is seeking an experienced Change & Configuration Managerwith a minimum of 16 years experience, and a Bachelors and/or Masters degree to support our Government Partner with all program related activities including stakeholder management, configuration and change management processes and coordination with the engineers, admins, and analysts. Qualified applicants should havesignificant experience in the following required areas:

  • Direct experience

  • Developing and delivering architecture diagrams and supporting documentation of highly complex IT systems

  • Driving change management implementation from concept to delivery

  • Developing using Python, Bash, or other languages

  • Creating scripts for automation purposes

  • Cloud technologies and architecture concepts with ability to design, deploy, and support cloud-based systems

  • Familiar with Linux systems including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and recovery

  • Strong understanding of network protocols and security

  • Experience in deployment and support for internally developed tools and applications

  • Debugging and triaging production issues

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Foundational cloud concepts associated with one or more of the following: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud, Google Cloud Platform, or IBM Cloud

  • Secrets management in automation pipeline concept and execution

  • Understanding of Python, Bash, Powershell, Ansible, Javascript

  • Knowledge of network technologies, common infrastructure components, load balances, firewalls, and infrastructure design

  • Experience managing a data operations environment to include maintaining a data catalog

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $140690 - $239140

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
