The Opportunity:

NetCentrics is seeking a dedicatedCloud Network Engineerto support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information and Technology (OIT), Infrastructure Operations (IO), VA Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) Integrated Project Team (IPT). Infrastructure Operations has a requirement to migrate hardware, operating systems, applications, and other elements of its IT infrastructure from Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) to IPv6.

The migration will ensure the design and integration of IPv6 technology across VA on-premises core infrastructure, network operations, support desks, and security systems, as well as VA Enterprise Cloud (VAEC) where applicable.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Network Engineer's primary objective is to implement Networking and Security teams requirements for an IPv6 environment in Azure and AWS environments.

  • Design and build highly available cloud architectures using best practices.
  • Good understanding of Cloud Networking and Cloud Security
  • Proficiency with both AWS and Azure cloud environments
  • Experience in migrating applications from On-premises to cloud with re-factor/re-architect.
  • Experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), to automate using Terraform Provide technical leadership and continuous improvement in cloud architecture and operations.
  • Have excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Stay updated with industry best practices, standards, and security guidelines, ensuring compliance and security of the cloud infrastructure.
  • Documentation experience with architecture, processes, and procedures related to cloud infrastructure.

  • Mid-Level Candidates: Bachelor's Degree (Technical Degree), plus 5-7 years' experience
