Insight Global Chief Project Engineer in Herndon, Virginia

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking to hire a Project Engineer to support a real estate investment trust focused on mission critical facilities. This position would sit in the Herdnon, VA area but will be responsible for travel throughout the DC Metro area. The perfect candidate will be well equipped with the technical knowledge and hands on experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all commercial HVAC, electrical, plumbing and life safety building systems. This individual will be responsible for working in 4 portfolios, developing and maintaining a rolling capital expenditure plan spanning five years, lead special construction/fit out projects and act as the technical advisor, ensure job safety standards are maintained at all times, develop & maintain life cycle plan for all equipment in compliance with company standards, oversee recommissioning of BAS systems, provide direction and insight on controls systems throughout the region, and maintain appropriate paperwork for billing purposes. This role must be able to work independently from the Chief Building Technician.

Salary range:

95k-120k

Skills and Requirements

- 7 years of experience in a Senior Building Technician in the commercial space

- 5 years of experience providing work direction to others

- 5 years of experience developing and maintaining a rolling Capital Expenditure plan

- 1 or more of the following certifications:

o Universal CFC, Journeyman, Masters, Stationary Engineers license null
