ManTech Ancillary Support Services Lead III in Herndon, Virginia

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Ancillary Support Services Lead III in Herndon, VA

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

The Ancillary Support Services Lead III interviews, hires, develops, and supervises non-IT labor to deliver a total-solution approach to multiple mission partners’ projects. They plan and coordinate project resources, supervise teams, and research, develop, and modify Ancillary Services in response to Technical Direction Letters (TDL). They apply a service lifecycle management process to manage and improve quality of the following services: Mechanical, Electrical, Hydronic Plumbing, and Structural Support Services; Training Support Services; Field Support Services; Logistics Management Services; and Performance Improvement Services. The Ancillary Support Services Lead III develops and monitors projects, manages labor resource allocations within budget and schedule constraints, and supervises in a project-dominant cross-functional team matrix. They collaborate with project management staff and other professionals, provide instructions to Ancillary Service Teams, and deliver projects on time and within budget. The Lead III determines the need for training and talent development, evaluates and selects subcontractors to augment staff, and provides clear and concise instructions to ancillary functional teams. In addition, they monitor safety and working conditions for onsite and offsite constructions for compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, and review and interpret applicable industry, DoD, and Government codes and regulations. Finally, they justify, negotiate, and advocate for appropriate skill levels and labor hours for given TDL response and project modifications. They supervise the Field Support Manager, Logistics Manager, Performance Improvement Manager, Training Manager, and highest-seniority construction tradespersons. This position may require 20% to 30% domestic and international travel. The Ancillary Support Services Lead III supervises and mentors subordinate project and Team ManTech staff.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 9 years of related experience

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related area or a HS Degree and 13 years’ experience; Associate’s and 11 years of experience.

  • A candidate holding a relevant master’s degree may be granted 2 years’ experience credit for that extra education. A candidate holding a relevant PhD degree may be granted 4 years’ experience credit for that extra education.

Required Certifications

  • 5 years of position-specific relevant experience. Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related discipline. Proven supervisory and technical skills. Experience in construction management; familiarity of construction management processes, means, and methods. Experience with one or more of the following: International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9000, Service Quality (SERVQUAL), or Capability Maturity Model Integration for Services (CMMI-SVC).

Desired Certifications

  • Master’s degree in engineering management, Technical Management, or Business Administration. Understanding of all facets of the Data Center construction process. Experience in construction management software packages. DoD civilian or military experience.

  • Secret

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
