Amentum Stock Clerk in Herlong, California

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoice.

  • Receives incoming items to the facility. Counts, sorts, or weighs articles and annotates basic information on receiving, shipping, and storage documents.

  • Assembles tools/parts into kits.

  • Conducts assigned portions of inventories. Uses bar code wands, labeling equipment, laser scanning equipment, and/or computer terminals. May require a CAC for system access.

  • Alerts higher level employees or supervision to storages, discrepancies, shortages, or damage to material.

  • Examines stock to verify conformance to specifications and documentation.

  • Turn-in excess or unserviceable tools and equipment as required.

  • Completes stock, issuance, transfer, and return records.

  • Stores articles in bins, on floor or on shelves, according to identifying information, such as style, size or type of material.

  • Fills orders or issues supplies from stock.

  • Performs all required PMCS (Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services) and lock out/tag out procedures; immediately reports all instances of equipment failure or required maintenance to AECOM and Government Supervision. Ensures equipment used has been load tested.

  • Prepares periodic, special or perpetual inventory of stock.

  • Requisitions articles to fill incoming orders.

  • Operate tools and equipment in performance of duties as approved per management.

  • Compiles reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and stock records, spillage of or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments. In example, Line checking, etc.

  • May mark identifying codes, figures, or letters on articles. May distribute stock among production workers, keeping records of material issued. May make adjustments or repairs to articles carried in stock. May cut stock to size to fill order

  • Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.

  • Performs all housekeeping and maintenance duties as needed to ensure workspace upkeep.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned, requested, or related, unless otherwise excluded by this description or the established collective bargaining agreement.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Work is performed in a shop environment and is exposed to disagreeable fumes in shop area. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and taste or smell. Frequently lifts items weighing 15-25 pounds and occasionally in excess of 45 pounds. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance. Position may require travel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.

  • Must be physically capable of; lifting 45 pounds, standing on stepladders, and reaching overhead.

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license to operate Government motorized equipment/vehicles.

  • Position may require travel.

  • Position requires the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.

  • Must be able to speak, read and understand English.

  • This position requires the candidate to pass a pre-employment physical examination and urinary analysis.

  • Must be available for any shift, must be willing to work weekends and other hours as needed.
