Arc Herkimer Direct Support Professional Trainer in Herkimer, New York

Direct Support Professional Trainer: starting rate $18/hr, full time, 40 hrs/wk. Tuesday- Saturday 12pm- 8pm, must be willing to be flexible for the needs of the program.

Qualifications: 

  • Two years experience in field training or teaching preferred.  

  • Prior experience in developing training curriculum required;

  • Strong computer skills, specifically with Microsoft office. 

     

    As a Direct Support Professional Trainer, you will: 

  • Provide training in a number of topic areas, to be determined through agency need. 

  • Develop and/or revise training program curriculum as necessary

  • Work closely with program managers to identify training needs.

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of regulations and policies necessary to the provision of quality training programs.

  • Conduct training at off-site locations and Arc Herkimer work sites and schedule trainings to accommodate employees/groups. 

  • Design and deliver solutions that include a blended approach to learning such as coaching, on-site training, role modeling, developmental feedback, and additional outside trainings as needed including but not limited to classroom training, online learning, etc
