Key job responsibilities

• Work with a range of different types of data including but not limited to text, speech, image, audio and video.

• Maintain confidentiality and follow all applicable Amazon policies for securing confidential information.

• Deliver high-quality data, using guidelines provided to meet our KPIs, and using in-house tools and software.

• Creative thinking and excellent written communication skills. Attention to details and ability to adapt to dynamic changes.

• Proactivity in identifying issues with efficiency and accuracy.

• Work on testing for workflow or feature launches if required.

• Show Ownership and initiative when providing feedback for improvements to existing tooling that can increase the amount and quality of the data we process - we believe every ground-breaking change starts with a small idea!

A day in the life

We are looking for a Data Associate (DA) to undertake the task of foundational labeling functions, such as dialogue evaluation on speech & text data, to assess and improve performance in everyday situations.

To make a mark, one needs to be an expert, your adaptability, focus, and attention to detail in a dynamic need to be unparalleled. To pride yourself on your ability to recognize issues, not succumb to pressure, but come up with an elegant and innovative solution to tackle any hurdle from the goal while working on multi-data modalities.

About the team

The team works strictly in the office Monday through Friday with an eight-hour shift and two breaks half an hour each. We are constantly looking for ways to improve our capabilities and deliver the best product possible. Diverse team, regular meetings, trainings, and Amazon events throughout the year await you.

Basic Qualifications

  • Speak, write, and read fluently in English

  • Speak, write, and read fluently in Spanish

  • • Comfortable working with speech from various dialects and accents of one or more of the following regional languages: United States of America

  • Business proficiency (B2+) in English language.

  • High-School or equivalent diploma.

  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office and web interfaces.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience

  • Experience working with speech or language data, including experience with annotation, and other forms of data markup

  • Typing speed at 50 WPM or above

  • Eye for detail and ability to pivot from one category of requirement to another instantaneously

  • Research skills to navigate and synthesize multiple resources; understanding of basic academic integrity, i.e. plagiarism

  • To be flexible in work timing and be ready at hand to meet delivery targets
