Amazon's Global Financial Services (GFS) team is a fast-paced, team-focused, dynamic environment and delivering great experiences for our customers is top priority. We are looking for an FP&A Finance Manager to be a key leader in GFS team.

This position is an individual contributor that supports Amazon Web Services (AWS) finance business partners across different locations worldwide. AWS is a highly reliable, scalable, low-cost infrastructure platform in the cloud that powers hundreds of thousands of enterprise, government and start-up business and organizations in over 190 countries around the world.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on manager, highly proactive and self-starter with a strong operational and finance background, problem solving, technical skills and attention to details. The role has interaction with senior leaders from AWS business units, therefore it also requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Key job responsibilities

Support finance partners in North America and India as engagement leader.

Create financial analysis, write variance explanations and own weekly business reviews (WBR) with finance partners (including Directors and Vice Presidents) to review actuals versus forecast and drive business decisions.

Own large projects that are highly visible to senior leaders (including AWS Artificial Intelligence investments). Projects will require collaboration with finance and non-finance members in various geographies, and will own business updates with leadership.

Drive automation projects within GFS to deliver baseline savings goals.

Influence business decisions with effective verbal and written communication, data driven analysis and presentation of potential alternatives to deliver best results.

Own controllership and finance activities for AWS, together with finance partners in other regions. This includes financial models, creation of P&L’s (including views on Generative and Non-Generative Artificial Intelligence impacts), ad-hoc analysis and support in key decisions.

Raise the bar on hiring, developing, coaching, motivating and retaining the best talent to continue building our world class team of finance professionals.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience.

  • 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs).

  • 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience.

  • 6+ years participating in process improvements, automation and analysis experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent.

  • Advanced written and oral English communication skills.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Power BI and Power Query are fully required. Basic skills in SQL.

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP)

  • Ability to effectively manage stakeholders in a high-pressure environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or CPA

  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
