Citigroup Fin Solutions Sr. Analyst - C12 in Heredia, Costa Rica
The Fin Solutions Sr. Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.
Responsibilities:
Contributes to the design, roll-out and governance of financial solutions, including:
Participates in formulating and setting strategic direction for the process, organization and architecture covering Finance across Citi businesses, products, functions and locations
Participates in assessing and incorporating changing business, regulatory and market information needs into finance processes and applications
Resolves complex problems or transactions, where expertise is required to interpret policies, guidelines or processes.
Manages one or more processes, reports, procedures or products, and considered analytical or procedural "expert" representing a unit or team on cross-function process or project deliverables.
May supervise day-to-day work of junior level employees.
Performs other duties and functions as assigned.
Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
2+ years of relevant experience, development of technological solutions or a technological environment, within the financial services industry preferred
Process automation leveraging emerging technologies experience – Required
Excellent relational and communication skills
Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Must be able to quickly learn, understand, and apply new technologies.

- Bachelor's degree

Python – Advanced level (Required)
Tableau - Intermediate level (Preferred)
Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) – Advanced level (Plus).
SQL and Database knowledge – Advanced level (Plus)
MS Office – Advanced level (Plus).
This position is responsible for developing and supporting emerging technology tools for efficient and controlled financial reporting processes.
Develop Python scripts and other emerging technologies such as Tableau and robotics to automate processes while ensuring all the technology mandates are met properly
Support adopting new technologies, sourcing trainings to be shared with end users, provide the required training session and give hand to hand support while executing automation projects
Develop full-scale Python and other emerging technologies project plans and associated communications documents.
