We are now looking for a Sales Engineer based in the Benelux region who will support our company in making a valuable difference in the century to come! What you will do

  • You are one of the ambassadors for Howden Maintenance Partners. You will visit customers, generate opportunities and build and manage the sales funnel. Your focus will be on building strong customer relationship, create business developments, follow up on current and future opportunities and closing deals.

  • Manage relationships with strategic customers, internal and external partners in the designated sales territory.

  • Prepare and manage visits with current and future customers and external partners.

  • Determine, in consultation with the proposals team, the most competitive solution to win, and determine the commercial, technical and legal opportunities or risks.

  • Keep track of information in our CRM regarding potential and current customers and projects, competitive position and relevant developments.

  • Establish and maintain your sales plan to achieve the business targets but also to show how to grow the business for the coming years.

  • Show good control of your territory: show knowledge of the customers’ current and future needs by developing strong relationships with the customers.

What will you bring

  • You Love Sales!

  • A Bachelor degree Mechanical Engineering is preferred but can be compensated by proven experience and proven technical/commercial knowledge and interest in a broad range of technical disciplines compression/process/systems/instruments/controls.

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales in preferably a similar industry.

  • We are willing to consider a more junior enthusiastic and fast learning technical & commercial talent who will be trained to become fully performing in the position within 12 months or less.

  • Experience in working with ERP and CRM systems and MS Office applications.

  • Fluent Dutch and English language skills, both verbal and in writing. French language skills are a big plus!

  • Your personality is pro-active, solution oriented, result oriented and you have strong interpersonal skills. You are transparent, you think in terms of processes and you have a hands-on and no-nonsense mentality. We search for a team player who is constructive critical, well organized, who has excellent communication skills and someone who values the importance on following up on sales opportunities.

  • A driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer 75% of the working time.
