Eaton Corporation Product line Operations (Value Stream) Leader in Hengelo, Netherlands

Eaton Hengelo factory is now located at the heart of the The Green Box cleantech campus in The Netherlands, a unique location with multiple companies who all work towards future clean technology. Eaton has offices, test, storage and production facilities for electrical equipment, which is essential for charging electric cars, temporarily storing electricity.

Our production site in Hengelo is on sustained growth trend, as a complex agile High- manufacturing location. From sustainability to Energy Transition to the Electrification, the in Hengelo site is currently linked to all of these from a manufacturing standpoint, as in Hengelo we design and bring to life the next generation of medium- voltage switchgear power equipment.

Role Overview:

The Primary function of the role is leading the medium voltage Value Stream at our Eaton Hengelo production facility.

Products in the portfolio include Xiria, Xiria-E, FMX, UX and the newly developed NGX.

The role is reporting into the Plant Manager and managing sales forecasting, inventory, and supply planning, also, the role is leading continuous improvement initiatives and improving financial performance. Key performance indicators for this role include safety, continuous improvement, quality, delivery, inventory, productivity, and manufacturing margins.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead, manage, inspire and motivate assigned team of professionals, according to Eaton Leadership Model.

  • Direct reporting lines include a team of 10 employees with Order/project managers, Planner, Customer Order Engineering Team Leaders (a team with mechanical, electrical, application engineers and work preparation).

  • Functional responsibility for manufacturing and supply chain total scope.

  • Manage the factory load by planning and delivering work package on time and complete.

  • Manage customer change to ensure we enhance the performance of the contract while maintaining the clients’ expectations.

  • Be engaged in Eaton’s internal audit process for Operations, so-called “OpA”, Eaton Business System assessments, Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) and Strategy deployment.

  • Be a driving force in the Plant’s ambition to become and sustain Model Plant culture and performance.

Qualifications:

  • We are looking for a strong candidate who likes to be in an Operations environment and has a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Who has the potential, drive and ambition to grow into the Hengelo Plant Manager role in 2-3 years.

  • Masters degree in Technical Business Administration or Engineering or equivalent, MBA is a plus.

  • 5-7 years’ of experience in leading a production or assembly department.

  • Strong management capabilities in leading a team in an international matrix environment.

  • Knowledge of Medium Voltage Systems and Products is preferred.

  • Fluent in Dutch and English
