VadaTech Inc. Sr Systems Administrator in Henderson, Nevada

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • The Senior System Administrator will be responsible for designing, planning and implementing high level as well as departmental projects with little or no supervision

  • Performs the daily operational support on the computer Operating System to include system security, access, configuration, backups and restores

  • Ensure that the organization's IT infrastructure is secure and protected from unauthorized access or data breaches

  • Specifies network requirements, monitors local area network (LAN) performance, troubleshoots networking hardware and ensures system is working properly according to specifications and parameters.

  • responsible for providing escalation support and troubleshooting for incidents reported by system monitoring, change requests, users support tickets or networking with IT peer

  • Keeps track of incremental software version updates and monitors yearly support contracts

  • Analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Management Information Systems and 15+ years of experience in Systems Administration

  • Current Microsoft certification (MCSA, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator etc.)

  • Experience working with Hyper-V virtualized servers running Windows Server 2022 in a multiple domain infrastructure and providing cyber security support

  • You should have experience in Enterprise level Windows Server operating environments, including Windows Active Directory, Group Policy Management, SharePoint, Exchange services

  • Experience with TCP/IP and Microsoft Networking concepts

  • Experience hand-on experience in installing, patching, configuring, maintaining, and resolving issues with various Windows and Linux server software.

  • Need to have experience working with cyber security tools for phishing/malware detection monitoring

  • Must be a US Citizen

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position involves work typical of an office environment with no unusual hazards.

The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job:

· Sitting and use of computer terminal for long hours

· Constant use of sight abilities while writing, Reviewing and editing documents.

· Ability to move around the facility, climbing stairs as necessary, bends down and reaches up

· Frequently communicates with others. must be able to exchange accurate information verbally and in writing.

· Constantly operates a computer and other standard office equipment such as phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

· Ability to handle and lift objects weighing up to 25 lbs. alone; ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs. in a two-person lift.
