Job Skills / Requirements

The Campus Shuttle Bus Driver will provide safe, reliable transportation between our Henderson campus buildings for students, staff, and guests of the College.

Every Campus Shuttle Bus Driver will:

  • Apply defensive driving strategies to ensure safe and timely transportation.

  • Employ strong customer service skills to make riders feel welcome at all times.

  • Follow all federal, state and local laws.

  • Regularly inspect and assess cleanliness and safety of vehicles.

  • Record usage data in provided forms.

  • Accurately record vehicle condition notes in provided forms.

  • Effectively communicate issues to supervisors at all times.

  • Assist Campus Police in keeping campus safe by reporting suspicious or unsafe activity.

  • Accurately record time worked in computer-based timesheet application.

  • Other shuttle-related duties as assigned.

Additional Information / Benefits

Minimum Qualifications:

  • One year of experience driving vehicles that require a commercial driver’s license. Pursuant to NRS 284.4066, this position has been identified as affecting public safety. Persons offered employment in this position must submit to a pre-employment screening for controlled substances.

  • This position requires a valid Nevada Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s license and Passenger Endorsement.

  • Minimum of 3 years of clean driving experience. DMV driving record printout required upon offer of employment.

  • Must pass a state and federal criminal background check upon offer of employment. Eligibility to work in the United States.
