VadaTech is looking for a Jr. Production Planner who is responsible for coordinating and planning the production schedule of goods or services within a manufacturing or production environment. The primary goal is to ensure that products are produced efficiently, on time, and per quality standards. The job description for a Jr. Production Planner typically includes the following responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Production Scheduling: Help develop and maintain production schedules that meet customer demands while optimizing resources and minimizing costs.

  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to ensure that raw materials and finished goods are available to meet production requirements.

  • Demand Forecasting: Review open sales orders and backlog to forecast product demand, enabling effective production planning.

  • Coordinate with Departments: Work closely with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to coordinate the flow of materials and information throughout production.

  • Capacity Planning: Assist in assessing production capacity and adjusting schedules to meet production targets.

  • Problem Resolution: Help identify and promptly address production issues, such as delays, shortages, or quality concerns, to minimize disruptions.

  • Communication: Effectively communicate production schedules, changes, and priorities to relevant stakeholders within the organization.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to production schedules, inventory levels, and other relevant data.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Proven experience in production planning or a similar role.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of production processes, supply chain management, and inventory control.

  • Familiarity with production planning software and tools.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Familiarity with inventory management systems.

  • Knowledge of quality control processes.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel

  • Experience with data analysis and reporting.
