Responsibilities

  • Primarily responsible for assisting the HR Manager as needed in most functional areas of HR

  • Provides customer service to employees and applicants relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc. More complex questions will be referred to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.Manage HR automated systems.

  • Manage attendance policy

  • Date entry into Infinium/ORACLEHR Database

  • Maintain ICIMS requisitions

  • Administer various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assist in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepare and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual(s).

  • Perform benefits administration in communicating benefit information to employees.

  • Conduct recruitment effort for all hourly personnel, students, and temporary employees; conduct new-employee orientations; monitor career pathing program, write and place advertisements.

  • Assist HR Manager in handling employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing.

  • Assist in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of HR department and services performed.

  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.

  • Contribute to the achievement of the fiscal year goal annually.

  • Foster an environment of learning and application by ensuring all employees participate in all trainings by each fiscal year end.

  • Ensure 100% completion of assigned Berry University compliance courses per annual schedule published by Legal.

  • Communicate “Gung-Ho” philosophy across all locations by each fiscal year end.

  • Reduce hourly voluntary attrition by the percentage communicated by Division HR Leadership each fiscal year.

  • Reduce salaried voluntary attrition by the percentage communicated by Division HR Leadership each fiscal year.

  • Actively engage with plant/location leadership teams to ensure plants meet Sales and EBITDA targets.

  • Recruiting- filling job openings, staff with diverse, mobile talent.

  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources; PHR/SPRH and/or SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred

  • 5+ years in a human resources role

  • International experience a plus

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing setting a plus.

  • Solid knowledge of current employment laws, theories and contemporary practices in all areas of human resources.

  • High proficiency level with MS Office applications.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook.

  • Ability to interact effectively with senior management executives and build/maintain excellent rapport with management staff at each facility.

  • Must be able to effectively communicate at all levels in the organization.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently with emphasis on attention to accuracy and detail.

  • Ability to work well in high pressure environment.

  • Ability to prioritize and multi task.

  • Team player.
