ProCaps Laboratories Facilities Technician - Day in Henderson, Nevada

WHAT YOU BRING(MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS )

  • High school degree or equivalent required
  • 2 years' work experience in manufacturing or commercial facility required
  • Possess general knowledge of machine mechanics, electrical, plumbing and HVAC
  • Ability to work in an ever-changing environment and adjust schedule to accommodate special projects that require immediate attention
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English via speaking, writing, and reading
  • Be willing to work overtime or on weekends, as the workload demands

WHAT YOU'LL DO (OTHER ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)

  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in facility; listening for problems and walking the facility to find undetected problems and correcting these in a timely manner
  • Care and repair of the facility including but not limited to drywall repair, painting, landscape maintenance and miscellaneous cleaning
  • Inspection and basic troubleshooting of HVAC equipment both in ceilings and on roof top
  • Maintains equipment and parts inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies. Placing orders with planner for what is needed
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending company sponsored training courses and by sharing knowledge with existing maintenance staff
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and needs. Also completing an end of the day email to his supervisor on that day's activities
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes
  • Perform predictive, preventative, emergency, routine and non-routine maintenance work on plant equipment in a safe and efficient manner
  • Continuously improve overall plant operations in order to maximize production, meet plant demands, and minimize operating costs
  • Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop equipment
  • Help with department procedures for building and equipment and machinery equipment
  • Help with preventative maintenance program to assure continuous operation of equipment
  • Training and assisting other mechanics and operators
  • Fill out work orders in a timely manner
  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work area
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned
