Located in Henderson, Nevada, Seven Hills Hospital provides services for behavioral health, chemical dependency, and eating disorders for both adults, geriatrics, and adolescents (ages 11-17). The continuum of care consists of a 134-bed psychiatric hospital and an extensive array of outpatient services that include a partial hospitalization program (PHP), an intensive outpatient program (IOP), and traditional outpatient services for adults and adolescents. Henderson is one of the fastest growing cities in the US and is located just 7 miles from the famed Las Vegas Strip and a couple of miles from beautiful Lake Mead.

Join the team of highly dedicated mental health professionals. We are presently looking for a FT Certified or Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor.

  • Ensure mental health treatment services are provided in a way that maximizes client independence and family empowerment.

  • Carry a caseload of patients where you provide individual, couples and family counseling services as clinically indicated to assist individuals in achieving more effective personal, social, educational, and vocational development and adjustment.

  • Run therapeutic groups that could include DBT, CBT, Relapse Prevention, Body Image, Self-Esteem, Interpersonal Process Groups, etc.

  • Participate in weekly multidisciplinary treatment team meetings, timely completion of all required documentation, and case management as necessary.

Qualifications:

Education:

A Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or Psychology from an accredited college or university.

Licensure:

Fully licensed or intern as a drug and alcohol counselor is required.

Experience:

Minimum One (1) year experience working as a therapist in Mental Health, preferably in substance use in an acute hospital setting, residential setting, or partial hospitalization program.
