Xtreme Manufacturing in Henderson, Nevada, is seeking Buyers to join our team!

Job Summary:As a Buyer, you have the responsibility for securing raw materials, equipment, supplies and services as needed to maintain the operations of the Henderson, Nevada facility. This position requires execution of both tactical and strategic elements of Procurement to maximize service level to customers at minimum cost while maintaining the world-class quality that is associated with Xtreme Manufacturing and Snorkel.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creates and approves purchase orders in ERP System.
  • Supervises scheduling and delivery of materials through MRP and Non-MRP releases.
  • Secures the necessary raw material, equipment, supplies, and services in an effort to meet or exceed service level objectives for both internal and external customers.
  • Manages supplier receipt exception process and arranges for return of obsolete and surplus materials, return of rejected materials, and contacts vendors concerning billing errors.
  • Analyzes current state of processes, recommend improvements, and influence LEAN change.
  • Provides purchasing service and information for other departments as required.
  • Evaluates performance of suppliers through the supplier report card process.
  • Effectively utilizes tools to drive root cause analysis and avoid addressing the symptoms.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in applicable field preferred
  • Two (2) year minimum experience in Procurement or closely related field desired
  • Or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Work requires a professional level of knowledge in supply chain or equivalent experience
  • Experience in ERP/MRP system(s) highly preferred. Infor M3 experience a plus
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite highly desired with emphasis in Excel skills
  • LEAN Experience desired
  • Honesty, integrity, and a strong desire to succeed

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:70% sitting at a desk; 30% locating physical inventory. Primarily indoors sitting at a desk.
