How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

As the "face of Airgas," the Local Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers from an Airgas branch or plant location using a company-provided straight or box truck. The Local Delivery Driver loads, unloads, delivers, and returns compressed gas cylinders while frequently interacting with Airgas customers.

Most vehicles are under 6 years old and equipped with driver-friendly technology, such as On Board Computers, collision avoidance technology, latest camera technology and GPS navigation.

Position Title: Local Delivery Driver - Construction Specialist Location: Henderson, CO Monday through Friday, local deliveries. Home Daily! Straight Truck - Class A or B CDL with Hazmat Endorsement required.

In particular, you will:

You willdelivercompressed gas cylinders, liquid cylinders and hard goods to temporary construction sites and remote operations on a scheduled daily route.

Pick up empty cylinders from customer sites.

Recorddeliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest.

Loads/unloadtruck and setup cylinders foruse.

Performpre and post trip vehicle inspections, documenting deficiencies utilizing Airgas forms and ensures all safety items are in good working order.

You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the client's supply inventory to include deliveries and management programs, establishing safe handling practices, manage, efficient order processing & invoicing, initiating & executing cost reduction programs, reporting and day-to-day customer interface at the client location

The Local Delivery Driver - Construction Specialist will be the first line Airgas representative with the customer for all cylinders, consumables, and safety supplies related issues.__Are you a MATCH?

Must have one year of Class A or B CDL driving experience within the last 5 years or have graduated from an accredited driving school.

Class A or B CDL with Hazmat endorsement. Hazmat can be obtained post-offer.

Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Current Medical Examiner's Card.

Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets.

Ability to routinely lift 25 - 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 125 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment.

Must be able to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours; frequent bending is also required.

Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.

Must be able to work occasional overtime if necessary.

Experience in tooling repair, maintenance, calibration.

Inventory Control experience including ordering, stocking and maintaining cost effective inventory levels.

Customer service or sales experience, particularly in acting as a central liaison and single point of contact.

Moderate computer knowledge.

Ability to move large amounts of inventory.

Able to use hands and/or tools to perform maintenance, calibration and repairs.

Knowledge of our traditional service package.

Well versed in all safety aspects of our business.

Strong interpersonal skills to be seamlessly accepted into the customers' culture.

Strong background in tooling/repair.

Ability to prioritize workload.

Ability to be self-managed.
