An exciting opportunity is now available for a Configuration and Data Management Officer/Configuration Analyst (CM/DM Officer) Role within the Survey and Quote (S&Q) team for the Minor Vessel (MV) Capability Lifecycle Manager (CLCM) program based at Henderson. The CM/DM Officer is accountable to the S&Q Engineering Manager for the initial establishment and ongoing control of the Configuration and data management of the respective MV Mission Systems and Support System baselines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop project configuration and data management plans and processes in line with ASDEFCON requirements

  • Manage project related tools, information systems, and bills of materials

  • Facilitate Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings and manage/track the outputs and changes - e.g. Engineering Change Proposals (ECP)

  • Lead Functional and Physical Configuration Audits (FCA/PCA) and associated reviews

  • Capture Configuration Status Account Information (CSA)

  • Ensure integrity of the data set/configuration environment via regular audits

  • Support the Commonwealth in engaging, planning, managing and controlling the Enterprise Operations through Enterprise partners across capability management, asset management and maintenance delivery.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Configuration management in an ASDEFCON environment

  • Familiarity with AMSDO related requirements applicable to defence industry configuration control

  • Ability to communicate with contacts typically within the department on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring some explanation or interpretation in order to reach agreement.

  • Ability to provide guidance and assistance to less experienced professionals and/or support employees.

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, with minimum Cert IV in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent industry experience.

  • A minimum of four (4) years experience in the electronics industry in either:

  • System (hardware or software) design,

  • manufacture,

  • maintenance or testing; or

  • Configuration Management/ Data Management.
