Veralto Tech Support Representative I in Hemet, California

About the role:

  • The Technical Support Representative performs standard and electronic technical support functions in accordance with departmental and company objectives. Acts as a liaison between customers and the company to facilitate support, sales, and the resolution of service problems related to mechanical or electrical equipment. Provides customers with information about products and services, as well as service and support for meters, associated electronic equipment devices or systems, and others. May instruct customers on the proper use of equipment in these domains.

This position is part of the Manufacturing Operations Team and is onsite in Hemet, CA.

In this role, you will:

  • Provides technical assistance/trouble shooting on operation and applications for McCrometer and Water Specialties Prop meters, UltraMag, McMag2000, McMag3000, FPI and SPI, and McConnect and Telemetry products offered by McCrometer.

  • Verifies application of technology to customer requirements or requests. Communicates with customers to ensure accuracy of specifications for RFQ and address any information gaps, application recommendations and or other requirements.

  • Uses computer software diagnostics, diagrams, schematics, logic diagrams and flowcharts, electronics theory, and complex electronic test equipment to test, identify problems and isolate defective electronic components in customer systems or equipment at remote locations.

  • Resolves unusual or non-routine customer inquiries including providing technical advice on product applications, service, or other customer issues.

  • Responds to requests for emergency repairs and repairs of troublesome equipment at off-site locations.

  • Provides product or service information to customers including recommendations for corrective action and services to resolve customer complaints and product service issues.

  • Responds to customer inquiries via phone and email in a timely manner.

  • Assists in warranty determination and disposition of returned product.

  • Maintains goodwill of customer during installation period and promotes sale of company products or equipment to existing and potential customers.

  • Must always present a pleasant and professional demeanor when working with customers.

Are you qualified?

  • Education: AA degree or higher preferred

  • Professional or Educational background in Electrical or Mechanical fields (required)

  • Experience: Three years minimum of work-related experience.

  • Proficiency with PC, Microsoft Office Suite required.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $20.00 - $22.00 USD per hour.
