We are looking for a Program Support Specialist to join our team at DEQ. The Program Support Specialists are responsible for performing high-level administrative services and program support by conducting research, preparing and editing documents, handling communications and information requests, conducting web site maintenance, providing data and records management. This position performs support functions such as preparing correspondence, proofing materials, mail processing, assisting visitors, managing main phone lines, arranging conference calls, and making arrangements for travel, meetings, or events. The Program Support Specialist positions includes a career ladder for professional development and pay progression. For positions that are under $78,000 per year: “This position may be eligible for a statutory base salary annual increase of $3,120 effective July 1, 2024.” For positions over $78,000 per year: “This position may be eligible for a statutory base salary annual increase of 4% effective July 1, 2024.” Minimum requirements include: • High school diploma • One year of experience performing a variety of office support or clerical work. • Other combinations of education and experience may be substituted. Alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
