St. Peters Health Director Of Home Health - Post Acute Care, Full-Time (Exempt) in Helena, Montana

JOB SUMMARY (overview of job): Under the supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer, the Director of Home Health and Hospice is responsible for the overall coordination of patient flow and services delivered to clients, while working collaboratively with all members of the interdisciplinary team. The Director is responsible for creating a professional practice environment that focuses on the customer and achieving the most efficient and highest standards related to outcomes of care. The Director is responsible for maintaining high patient satisfaction scores, based on HHCAHPS and CAHPS surveys; high quality metric, outcomes and goals, as established by the organization and state and federal regulatory agencies.

Administrative responsibilities include: budget preparation, performance reviews, quality improvement programs, professional developmental programs for staff, and preparation and maintenance of regulatory guidelines and requirements, such as CMS, DNV and OSHA. The Director is responsible for communicating the above to the staff and other members of the healthcare and administrative teams. The Director is a member of the SPH Leadership Team and the Nursing Leadership Team, and has full access to all meetings, forums and education/development activities. In the absence of the clinical supervisors for Home Health and Hospice, the Director has the authority and responsibility for performing the administrative duties and decisions for these departments.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: Experience in management required. At least three years of experience in home health and hospice care is required.

EDUCATION: Graduate of accredited school for registered nursing (RN) required; BSN required, Masters in healthcare related field preferred. RN Background in Home Health and Hospice is preferred to provide clinical oversight of RN practice.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY: Active Registered Nursing (RN) License in the state of Montana. BLS to be kept current and maintained.
